How To Search Microsoft Outlook PST Files within Windows 7

Windows 7 does not search within Microsoft Outlook PST files by default — but this can easily be enabled:
    1. From the Start Menu type "Indexing Options" (the program will be found before you finish typing)
    2. <Click> on the Indexing Options program
    3. <Click> the Advanced Button
    4. From the File Types Tab, <Click> (select) the Checkbox next to PST Extension
    5. From the How should this file be indexed? section (below), select "Index Properties and File Contents"
    6. Click OK, then Close
