Desktops allows you to organize your applications on up to four virtual desktops. Read email on one, browse the web on the second, and do work in your productivity software on the third, without the clutter of the windows you’re not using. After you configure hotkeys for switching desktops, you can create and switch desktops either by clicking on the tray icon to open a desktop preview and switching window, or by using the hotkeys.

I don’t think this should have been taken out of the oven quite yet. There is no way to shutdown the app (other than using process explorer or similar task managers)… how lame is that? Not at all clear it works properly with multi-monitors (I am still experimenting, but so far it isn’t looking good). I do like the fact it is tiny and the gui is lean and clean, but …
I’m using three monitors, and running different apps on the four Desktops and it’s working flawlessly so far. At first I was disappointed at the lack of complexity (you can’t shut it down, you can’t move apps from one desktop to another easily…) but now finding it tolerable, and I like the performance so far; there seems to be no noticable hit on performance when running this.
ok, thanks for your feedback… I’ll try it out in a more controlled environment :-)
I agree that having to kill it is a little clumsy and not the end of the world… just a little surprising considering the authors.
