Microsoft Confirms Upgraded “Black” Xbox 360 Elite Game Console

Not that it was a well kept secret; but Microsoft has released details on the April 29 release of the new Xbox 360 Elite.
Most of the rumors were correct:
 
    • Retail $479
    • 120GB Hard Drive
    • HDMI Port & Cable
    • Black Finish Console & Accessories
Some rumors were wrong:
 
    • No Special Content – so, Halo 3 will NOT be an "Elite" exclusive!
    • No HD-DVD standard
UPGRADE NOTES:
You CAN upgrade your existing Xbox 360’s Hard Drive.
Existing Xbox 360 users can purchase the 120GB drive as a $180 upgrade. It comes with a migration cable to move your data to the new drive. Then simply swap drives.
You CAN NOT migrate from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox 360 Elite . . . yet!
Currently there is no ability to migrate existing Xbox 360 owners to the new Xbox 360 Elite console . . . but they are working on it!
You CAN separate the audio from the HDMI Cable.
For home theater owners, a special HDMI adapter is included to separate audio into optical or composite outputs.
