My Mac buddy Greg was asking about my cool little widgets on my computer’s desktop. Originally, he thought only the Mac had widgets; he was surprised that “Windows” had them too!
He asked why I hadn’t written about these widgets on the weblog. . .and I said, it’s because this isn’t a Microsoft product; and since it’s being purchased by Yahoo! I wasn’t going to mention it. Greg, told me I was “fricken’ lame for being such a Microsoft whimp” (And this is my friend? ha ha)
So without further ado. . .here’s an incredible collection of desktop tools. Not only are they gorgeous programs to look at, but with such a large collection to choose from you’re bound to find many valuables tools!

NOTE: When selecting a widgets use these guidelines.
1) Find the most current version of the type of widget you’re looking for (choose a widget developed recently, as opposed to one designed last year).2) Use their “4 Star” rating system. While few of them are top rated with “4 Stars”, there’s no reason to even contemplate a “1 or 2 Star” rating.3) When you like a particular widget, look at the author’s other widgets they’ve programmed.4) Check for updates! There are frequent updates to the program, as well as the widgets themselves.
