We first began with the most basic of maps:
MSN got “fancy” and gave us the Encarta Maps http://encarta.msn.com
Then NASA gave us the World Wind Project, which showed what a true virtual Earth map could be. Along with the powerful “overlays” (roads, waterways, weather, businesses, or even demographic data)
Then Microsoft released their very cool Virtual Earth project.
And even demonstrated some incredible new (future) features on Microsoft’s Channel 9
But when my buddy Dan showed me the new Google Virtual Earth, I was blown away! MSN will need to do a bit of “catching-up” on this one! Wait until you try viewing the Earth from different angles, or add 3-D Buildings! You MUST try this program!

This movie looks like a cool cross between an action movie and video animation. (Or maybe it’s cool because Charlize Theron is in the movie!)
